Sam Argyrou - Designer of Sarva The Sarva label comprises of creative, quality garments in the categories of designer race, I studied Fashion at MT Gravatt College of Tafe. After graduating, I started my own designer boutique Semis Disimor and label within The Brisbane Arcade and the collection received recognition and awards within the Brisbane fashion industry. Among the numerous awards received include winning the Evening/Bridal category of the Redland More 2 Fashion Awards in 2007 as well as being the winner of Designer Dressing, Career Wear and Resort Wear at the 1998 Gold Coast Welfare Association Fashion Design Awards. Although it was a successful boutique, I decided to expand my knowledge of the industry by putting my entrepreneurial dreams on hold and working for other designers and manufacturing firms. 'Working for designers was a great experience for me and I have learned a lot about how the industry works. With experience under my belt, I was ready to pour my creative energies into my new label Sarva and with the help of the Fashion Incubator Melbourne, I began refining and promoting my new label, which I have plans of manufacturing and distributing around Australia. The Sarva lady likes to be confident and smart when she is at work and when she goes away to rest she wants to be stylish, yet comfortable and is still able to create fuss around her. Her evening gowns are one off gowns that make heads turn at any gala occasion and she wears them with complete confidence. |
